WILD BILL vs The BUCK

Wild Bill Tower went solo to one of his favorite black tail deer hunting spots. When he left home that morning he felt pretty damn confident that six 30-06 bullets would be plenty enough for even the toughest of black tail deer.

The following photo's were shot by "Wild Willie " as this film was all he had left to fire at this wounded deer.

After six shots from a 30-06 (3 being hits), the shooter had ran out of bullets and little alternative but to just wait him out.

As with Bow Hunting, Bill waited a good hour before putting the sneak on this animal. He was able to get to about 10 feet before the animal stood up and was ready to go again. There was little bill could do for this animal as it was still highly alive, but mortally wounded and he was out of ammo.

Thank's to his Marine Corp Combat Knife and three attempts, Bill was able to finish this deer by a "Bruce Lee" style throw. NO SH*T!

You can see the handle of the knife sticking out of the back. You talk about good penetration! Believe it or not, the gunshots definately slowed the deer down but the knife is what killed it...
